BinarySha512(<binary>

Description

The BinarySha512 function is used to calculate the SHA-512 hash of a binary string. SHA-512 (Secure Hash Algorithm 512-bit) is a cryptographic hash function that produces a 512-bit (64-byte) hash value. The function takes the binary string as input and returns the SHA-512 hash as a binary string.

Parameters

<binary> The binary string for which the SHA-512 hash is to be calculated.

Return Value

Success: Returns the SHA-512 hash of the input binary string as a binary string.
Failure: Returns empty string.

Remarks

The SHA-512 hash is a fixed-length binary string of 64 bytes.
SHA-512 is part of the SHA-2 family of hash functions and is widely used for data integrity checks, digital signatures, and secure data storage.
It provides a higher level of security than both SHA-256 and SHA-384 due to its longer hash length.
